What is AROQA

Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education (AROQA) is an international non-profit independent association established in Belgium in July 2007 with the fundamental objective of raising the quality of education in the Arab world.

AROQA accomplishments:

1- Five accredited schools: Omareyah Schools - Jordan / Al-Radwan Schools - Jordan / Salem Bin Mahfouz Private Schools - Yemen / Al-Hijaz Private Schools - Jordan / University Schools Group - Jordan.
Nine schools is currently working on accreditation: Al Jinan High Schools in Lebanon / Al Aman  International Schools in Lebanon / Thamer International Schools, Jeddah - Saudi Arabia / Haddah Valley Schools British - Yemen / Prince Hamza Bin Al Hussein School - Jordan / Alsaadah College Schools- Jordan / Rosary Sisters School, Aqaba - Jordan / Retaal International Academy- Jordan / Irid Modern Schools - Jordan

2- Completion of the Private Schools Ranking Document for the Ministry of Education in Jordan
3- Preparing more than 60 quality reviewers in education by implementing the “Reviewer of Quality Assurance in Education course”
3- Implementing courses for school teachers in Jordan, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia
4- Referring the following international tender to the Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education (AROQA), to work on:

  •  "Development of Quality Assurance System For KGs Providers for the Education Reform Support Program with The World Bank"

 

AROQA is working on the following services:

Quality assurance:

  • Quality assurance services for educational institutions.
  • Consultation and capacity building in the quality of education.
  • Preparing the basis for assurance, managing and controlling quality in education in accordance with national and international standards.

 

Accreditation:

  • Providing accreditation services for educational institutions and academic programs.
  •  Technical solutions for accreditation and evaluation programs and related services.
  • Develop accreditation and evaluation standards for educational institutions, including vocational training, education and training.
  • Accrediting educational institutions and academic programs through comprehensive evaluation and periodic review of educational activities, infrastructure, various sources and educational outputs, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and continuous improvement.

 
Quality assurance and accreditation procedures for educational institutions and programs in the region:

  •  Linking the organization's activities to national and international quality and accreditation systems.
  • Supporting accreditation and quality agencies in Arab countries and working with them to develop national accreditation standards.
  • Assisting educational institutions to develop periodic reports on the quality of distinguished education and carrying out activities related to cooperation and establishing partnerships with major national and international organizations.

 
Awareness

  • Spreading a culture of educational quality and accreditation
  • Holding annual specialized conferences
  • Holding workshops in cooperation with specialized international bodies and institutions
  • Publication of a journal on the quality of education "The Arab Journal for Quality of Education, periodical, indexed and peer reviewed.
